Strategic Strike: Zelenskyy Says Ukraine Has 'Victory Plan' Ready to Defeat Putin's Russia
The Ukraine-Russia conflict has become a focal point of political conversations worldwide. Ukraine's "Victory Plan", the details of which are yet to be made public, is already garnering a lot of attention on various media platforms, especially after U.S. officials expressed their optimistic belief in it, Newsweek reported.
Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, has claimed that his troops' incursion into Russia's Kursk region was an element of the 'victory plan,' BBC reported. Zelensky is set to present this plan to U.S. President Joe Biden, as well as, U.S. presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump sometime in September. He stated that it is paramount for the success of this plan, that Ukraine gets the support of the U.S.
U.S. officials have allegedly been briefed about the plan and have expressed confidence that the objectives present in it could bring an end to the yearslong conflict, Newsweek reported. "We have seen President Zelensky's peace plan. We think it lays out a strategy and a plan that can work," U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield stated. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, reportedly shared the same feelings about the 'plan,' as per Matthew Miller, a State Department spokesperson.
Despite the skepticism shown by many experts regarding the potential of the plan to bring a clean end to the struggle, Zelensky has remained confident in his belief, Newsweek reported. He has claimed that the plan can bring "real, just peace," if applied properly.
Zelensky also stated that the plan is not beyond the scope of Ukraine's allies, Newsweek reported. "There is nothing impossible in this plan. Over 90 percent has already been written out," he said. "Together, this package can ensure the right development of the situation not only for Ukraine but for everyone in the world who values international law." Russian officials have stated that the country's authorities are not interested in any peace proposals from Ukraine after the Kursk operation.
