Florida Schoolgirl, 11, Accused of Holding Box Cutter to Classmate’s Neck, Threatening to Kill Him: Sheriff

An 11-year-old girl in Florida has been arrested after she allegedly brought a box cutter to her elementary school and threatened to kill another student, according to authorities.
On Jan. 11, deputies responded to a 911 call from Manatee Elementary School in Naples after a student reported being threatened by one of his classmates, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.
Once at the school, detectives interviewed the alleged victim and the alleged assailant, WBBH reproted.
The victim allegedly told police that the accused attacker “approached him from behind in the school cafeteria and poked him in the neck with the knife several times while whispering a threat,” authorities said.
The child said the alleged assailant whispered, “I will kill you,” WBBH reported. The alleged victim tried to leave the cafeteria, but the girl followed. She then stopped him, backed him into a window with the weapon in hand, according to offiicals.
Detectives obtained security camera footage from inside the cafeteria, which corroborated the victim’s account of what happened, officials said.

A Youth Relations deputy conducted a search of Martial and found a box cutter that she had “concealed in her waistband,” deputies said.
Martial was taken into custody and charged with one count of aggravated battery and one count of possession of a weapon on school property.
