Alabama man shot victim with AK-47 during argument, killing him, cops say

An Alabama man has been arrested after he allegedly shot and killed a man with an AK-47 rifle during an argument.
Around 9:15 p.m. on Jan. 9, officers with the Decatur Police Department responded to the 300 block of Monroe Drive NW in reference to a shooting.
Officers located the victim, identified as Jamaal Jackson, 41, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, according to Decatur police. Jackson died at the scene, cops say.
On Jan. 10, police arrested Jamari Demone Jones, 31, and charged him with murder.
According to court documents obtained by WAAY 31, Jones confessed to shooting Jackson with an AK-47. Police say the shooting happened in the front yard of the residence while the two were arguing, according to WAAY 31.
Jones was booked in to the Morgan County Correctional Facility and is being held on $75,000 bond.
