Alabama Mother Arrested in Connection With Newborn Baby Girl Found Dead in Mini Mart Dumpster

A woman in Alabama has been arrested after a newborn baby girl was found dead in a plastic bag in a convenience store dumpster, according to authorities.
On Oct. 16, police were contacted about 36-year-old Cindy Nicole Crow. WAFF reported that Crow allegedly had recently given birth but was unable to account for the baby.
Officials said they were able to uncover evidence that showed Crow may have been pregnant in February.
On Oct. 17, police received a call regarding possible human remains in a dumpster at Wally World Mini Mart in Decatur.
At the business, officers located a trash bag containing the body of a newborn girl. Police said the bag was tucked into the bottom of the dumpster.
The body was sent to be autopsied at the Alabama Department of Forensic Services.

On Oct. 18, authorities determined the baby belonged to Crow, and officers arrested her at her home in Decatur and charged her with abuse of a corpse.
She was booked into the Morgan County Jail and was being held on a $200,000 bond.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
