A 72-year-old woman is accused of fatally shooting a man to death this week, authorities said.
Now, Juanita Dandles faces a murder charge in connection to the case.
On June 11, Tommie Junior Smith was found with a fatal gunshot wound barbeque restaurant, police said. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene, though investigators said the shooting happened at another location in Saraland, Alabama.
According to CBS 31, Smith was on the way to the hospital, when the driver stopped at the eatery to ask for help.
Smith and Dandles were dating and police accused her of shooting the victim to death.
But investigators have not said what led to the fatal encounter.
This week, police arrested Dandles and charged her with murder. She is being held in an Alabama jail.
