Victim found shot to death in a crashed SUV, suspect accused of murder

A 24-year-old woman is accused of murder after a victim was found shot to death in an SUV, police in Alabama said.
On March 8, police in Birmingham, Alabama, responded to a reported shooting on 46th Place North. Cameras caught several shots fired in the area, according to Birmingham police.
Officers arrived and found an SUV collided with a utility pole, according to Birmingham police. The victim was in the driver’s seat with a gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The victim’s name has not been released.
Investigators identified Raven Thompson, 24, as a person of interest in the case. Though, officials did not release how they tied her to the shooting or the alleged motive.
Officers went to a nearby apartment and arrested Thompson.
She was charged with capital murder and is being held without bail in jail.
