A bloody trail led police to a murder victim and now officers say they arrested the suspect in the killing.
This week, the Autauga County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama announced the arrest of Richard Kiley Clecker, 49.
Around 8 a.m., deputies responded to a home in Marbury, Alabama, for a report of suspicious activity. When deputies arrived, they found a blood trail that led them to a murder victim.
The victim was identified as Geames Kyle Weathers, 33, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators said there was a morning confrontation between Weathers and Clecker before the victim was shot multiple times. Though, they did not say what led to the alleged disagreement.
Authorities arrested Clecker the next day on a murder charge. He is being held in jail without bond.
