Woman beat elderly neighbor to death with space heater in argument over money, cops say
An argument over money between neighbors ended when a suspect beat an elderly man to death with a space heater, police said.
Monyuett Hinson was charged with capital murder in connection to the killing that happened in Bessemer, Alabama, according to CBS 42.
In September, Hinson and the victim, 76-year-old Alverner Blanks, were neighbors and arguing over money, according to the report. Hinson then hit Blanks with a space heater and left the area.
Another neighbor found Blanks unconscious and the victim was taken to a hospital. Blanks was in the hospital for two weeks before being sent to an assisted-living facility, where he died on Sept. 24, according to CBS 42.
