Alabama man found dead in a driveway after a shooting, suspect arrest months later
A man faces a capital murder charge for the death of a 25-year-old in Alabama, police said.
Around 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 29, police in Birmingham, Alabama, responded to a shooting at the 4200 block of Avenue L.
Officers were patrolling a nearby ally when they saw a man lying unresponsive in the driveway from a gunshot wound, according to Birmingham police. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was identified as Malik Tyrese Sutton, 25, according to police.
This week, police arrested Eren Johnson, 23, in connection to the shooting and charged him with capital murder. He is being held in the Jefferson County jail without bond.Police have not said what led to the shooting or if Johnson knew Sutton.
