Two dead in apartment arson turned murder in Alaska, suspect arrested

Two people died in an apartment fire that police believe was set intentionally and a suspect was arrested on a murder charge, police said.
Around 2:10 a.m. July 31, police and firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire in Anchorage, Alaska. When officers arrived, they found a unit in an apartment complex that was on fire.
Firefighters put out the fire and found two dead people inside the residence, according to Anchorage police.
The victims have been identified as Alan Borowski, 68, and Linda Borowski, 58.

Police believed the circumstances of the deaths are suspicious. Police have arrested Christopher Ricker, 29, in connection with the crime, but have not released why he allegedly started the fire.
Investigators also did not detail the relationship between the suspect and victims.
Ricker is facing two charges of first-degree murder, two charges of second-degree murder, criminal mischief and two counts of assault.
Ricker was taken into custody and is now in jail.
