The apartment’s owner told KTVU that the attack happened when the tenant received an alert that a package arrived. She went to the lobby to check, but it wasn’t there. Ramirez reportedly told her that it would arrive soon.

The victim waited about 15 minutes, came back and asked about it again. The owner reported the driver made a comment about white privilege and the tenant said she “didn’t need to be a b**** about it.”

That is when the attack happened. Ramirez claimed the attack was in self-defense.

Sheriff’s deputies charged Ramirez with battery causing serious bodily injury and elder abuse. She was booked into jail and bail was set at $100,000.
