Tennessee Man Allegedly Trapped Girlfriend In Apartment For Days, Burned Her With Cigarettes, Cops Say
A Tennessee man is accused of locking his girlfriend in his apartment and burning her with cigarettes last month, authorities said.
According to the Memphis Police Department, the woman claimed to officers that Justin Mann, 35, had forced her into his home in Memphis on July 6 and allegedly kept her trapped for days, WREG reported.
While locked up, police claimed in court documents that Mann burned the alleged victim with lit cigarettes.
On July 11, Mann told his girlfriend the apartment's door was “booby-trapped” before he left and went to the store, the documents show.
She fled the apartment after realizing he lied.
Mann faces charges of domestic assault and false imprisonment.
