Woman Gives Grinning Mugshot After Being Arrested And Accused Of Killing Man In Hit-And-Run
A 20-year-old woman is accused of hitting and killing a 79-year-old man with her car and then fleeing the scene, according to a report.
On March 25, Anthony Ames and a woman were taken to a hospital after being hit by a vehicle at a Tucson, Arizona, 7-Eleven, according to KVOA. Ames died from his injuries on April 2.
Police said that there was a confrontation between the vehicle’s driver and the two victims before the crash, according to KOVA. The drive ran from the scene after hitting the duo.
Investigators have not said what led to the confrontation.
Elaine Vernette Boone was identified as the suspect and arrested this week, according to KVOA. She was charged with second-degree homicide, aggravated assault and other counts.
Police also said she had two outstanding warrants.
