An Arizona man has been arrested after he allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend in a go-kart collision, according to authorities.

Around 1:35 a.m. on July 28, deputies responded to an area in Meadview regarding a report of a vehicle collision involving an ATV-type vehicle and a go-kart, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

Once at the scene, officials transported the driver of the ATV, 32-year-old Sally Minard, to a Las Vegas hospital for severe injuries, where she was later pronounced deceased, authorities said.

Investigators determined 40-year-old John Stettler, the victim’s ex-boyfriend, was driving the go-kart at the time of the incident.

Detectives worked with the Accident Reconstruction Team and determined the crash was caused by Stettler as a “criminal act, not just a vehicle collision.”

Stettler was arrested and charged with second-degree murder per domestic violence, according to authorities.
