Teen Accused Of Gunning Down Elderly Woman In Arizona, But Why Hasn't Been Released
A teen is in cuffs and accused of killing an elderly woman in Arizona, police said.
Last week, police in Tucson, Arizona, announced the arrest of 17-year-old Fabian Kristyan Montiel. He is charged with the murder of Linda Marie Mendibles, according to authorities.
Montiel is currently being held in an adult jail on $1 million bond, according to Tuscon police.
Around 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 20, Tucson police were called to an intersection and found an unresponsive woman, Mendibles.
Investigators said the victim had “obvious” signs of trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. It was later determined that the victim was shot to death.
Montiel was identified as a suspect and arrested.
Though, police have not said how they linked the suspect to the crime or released a possible motive in the case.
