Man Shot And Killed A Victim, Then Ran Over Him As He Fled The Area: Report

A suspect shot a victim, then ran over the person as they died, according to a report.
This week, police announced the arrest of Kheirollah Amani in connection to the case, according to KTVK.
Around 3:15 p.m. on May 28, Amani drove to a strip mall and pulled into the parking lot. Surveillance video showed John Kearns, 56, getting out of a car and approaching Amani’s driver’s side door, according to KTVK.
That is when the suspect shot him, the report noted. Amani allegedly drove away and ran over Kearns as he left the lot.

Kearns was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Investigators determined Amani robbed Kearns several days earlier, according to KTVK. A witness also helped identify Amani as the alleged shooter.
Amani was arrested days later and charged with second-degree murder. He is being held in an Arizona jail on $5 million bond.
