A confrontation outside an Arizona apartment left one person dead, police said. Now, a suspect faces a murder charge.
Last week, police in Tucson, Arizona, announced the arrest of Paul Richard Miranda in connection to a May shooting. He was wanted on a charge of second-degree murder.
On May 23, police received numerous 911 calls about a shooting at a home and a shooting victim less than a half-mile away at an apartment complex, according to Tucson.com.
Police arrived and found Ricardo Fragoso with life-threatening injuries, according to the report. He was taken to the hospital, where he died the next day.
Investigators said Fragoso was in an argument at his home with an acquaintance. A vehicle arrived moments later and Fragoso got into a confrontation. During that incident, the victim was shot.
Fragoso fled in a vehicle to seek help.
Miranda is being held in an Arizona jail on $1 million bond.
