That’s a whole lot of melon.
Two people face charges after cops say they stole dozens of watermelons in Arizona.
This week, deputies from the Merced County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of trespassing. When deputies arrived, they spoke with a victim who said people were stealing watermelons from their field.
Deputies saw a car leaving the field and stopped it, according to the sheriff’s office.
Police found Erick Vasquez and Brayan Vasquez Buenrostro in the car, along with several watermelons. In total, deputies found 57 watermelons and returned them to the owner.
Both suspects were arrested, and it was determined Vasquez was free on bond for an unrelated incident.
