Arkansas Man Hid Under Clothes in Walmart Shopper's Car, Attempted to Kidnap Her 2-Year-Old Daughter: Police

An Arkansas man has been arrested after he allegedly hid inside a vehicle in a Walmart parking lot and tried to kidnap a child, according to authorities.
Around 7 p.m. on Jan. 29, police in Sherwood said they received a call from a woman claiming a man was inside her vehicle at the Walmart.
The woman alleged that the man was attempting to abduct a young girl, officials said.
According to authorities, responding officers located at the scene a 2-year-old girl and her mother, who told the cops she noticed a man hiding under clothing in her car as she was putting her daughter inside the vehicle.
The woman said she started yelling at the man and reached for her daughter.
She was eventually able to get her daughter out of the vehicle after a short struggle, according to officials.

Timothy Caudle, 58, was arrested at the scene after he allegedly lied to police about his name, police said.
Caudle was charged with breaking and entering, first-degree false imprisonment, first-degree endangering welfare of a minor, third-degree assault, public intoxication, and obstructing governmental operation.
The incident is under investigation.
