A woman was found shot dead at an Arkansas gas station and now a teen faces a murder charge, authorities said.
Around 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 23, police in West Memphis, Arkansas, responded to a BP gas station for a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found a black woman in the passenger seat of a Nissan.
She had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The victim was identified as Christian Hammock.
Investigators identified Caleb Moten, 18, as the suspect in the case, though they did not say how they tied him to the area. Authorities also didn’t release a motive in the killing.
This week, Moten was arrested and charged with capital murder, terroristic act and two counts of aggravated assault.
