A renowned artist in Little Rock, Arkansas, was slashed to death with a machete and now police say they have arrested the suspect.
Little Rock Police charged Keemo Richardson, 30, with capital murder following the gruesome death of a renowned local musician, Dwayne Turner, known as “Belvis” [Black Elvis].
Richardson reportedly slashed Turner, 52, with the machete, even after he was “immobilized,” according to FOX 16 News.
Police said Turner’s body was found on the front porch of a house near 3108 W. 13th St., roughly half a mile from the 12th Street Police Substation, around 10:15 p.m. on May 19, according to the Little Rock Police Department.
Richardson was reportedly found soon after at the Splash-N-Dash Car Wash on West Markham, taken into custody and charged with murder.
Police have not released a possible motive for the killing.
Turner made national headlines in the Wall Street Journal after he endorsed Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential run.
Richardson was booked into the Pulaski County jail on May 20 and is being held without bond.
