High school principal in Arkansas accused of murdering his wife, cops say
A high school principal in Arkansas is accused of murdering his wife.
This week, Rocky Dodson was arrested by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas in connection to the killing of his wife. He was charged with second-degree murder.
On March 6, deputies and investigators responded to a home and found Amanda Dodson, 36, dead, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation showed she had a “severe injury,” which caused her death.
Police did not release further information about how she died or a possible motive in the case.
Her husband, Rocky, was identified and arrested.
According to KTLO, Rocky Dodson was the principal at Omaha High School and head basketball coach. He was also a long-time substitute teacher in various school districts. In a letter to parents, the district’s superintendent said Rock Dodson was placed on leave.
“The safety of our students and staff is our utmost priority. At no time were our students or staff in danger on campus,” the letter stated, according to KTLO.
