Woman Found Shot To Death In A Kia, Suspect Arrested A Motel Hours Later: Police

A man is accused of shooting a woman to death and leaving her in a SUV for police to find, according to authorities.
This week, police in West Memphis, Arkansas, announced the arrest of Elijah Singleton in connection to the case.
Around 1:15 a.m. on Oct. 8, police responded to Scottwood Street for a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found a woman in a Kia Optima suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. She was identified as Jakeya Hampton, according to police.
Investigators identified Singleton as a suspect and he was arrested at a Budget Inn hours later, police said. No motive was released in the case.
Singleton was charged with murder.
