Suspect Accused Of Gunning Man Down At Albuquerque Bus Stop During Fight
Authorities in New Mexico said they have arrested a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at a bus stop.
Detectives with the Albuquerque Police Department arrested Henry Atkinson, 37, on Oct. 21 and charged him with one open count of murder for the slaying of Elijah Pino, 42, the Albuquerque Journal reported.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by The Albuquerque Journal, around 2 p.m. on Sept. 30, surveillance video allegedly shows Atkinson exited a bus with four other individuals and they approached Pino.
The group got into a fight, and as a woman taunted Pino, Atkinson allegedly shot him multiple times, threw him to the ground and then walked away, the complaint states.
There was no word on what led to the fight.
Atkinson was being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center.
