Man On A Date Opened Fire After A Dispute Over A Bowling Ball Killing A Woman, Cops Say
A dispute over a bowling ball left a woman dead, and now police say they have arrested the suspected shooter.
On March 17, Atlanta police responded to the Metro Fun Center for a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found a woman with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was identified as Lakevia Jackson, according to Atlanta police.
Investigators said a dispute over a bowling ball led to gunfire and Jackson’s death.
This week, Atlanta police announced the arrest of Joshua Fleetwood, 25, in connection to the case. He was charged with felony murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Jackson’s mother, Sherina, told Fox 5 Atlanta that her daughter was celebrating a friend’s birthday. She was bowling next to Fleetwood, who was on a date when the argument started.
The dispute over the ball continued to outside the center, which is when Jackson was shot, Fox 5 Atlanta noted.
