Accused Child Killer Nabbed At Airport Trying To Board Plane Out Of State, Authorities Say

A 7-year-old was shot dead during a domestic dispute, and police said they arrested the alleged killer as he tried to board a plane out of state.
On Aug. 27, Atlanta police responded to a child shot call. When officers arrived, they found a 7-year-old with a gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigator said the shooting was the result of a domestic dispute that escalated to gunfire.
Deshon Collins was identified as one of the people involved and officers got warrants for murder and other charges.
On Nov. 16, Collins was arrested at the Atlanta airport as he tried to fly out of state, police said.
Kemeka Springfield, 44, was previously arrested in connection to the case. She was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, police said.
