‘Baby Girl Is Fighting’: Florida Father Accused of Beating 1-Year-Old to Death While Putting Her To Bed
Medical staff at an emergency room in Florida called the beating death of a 1-year-old baby girl brought to them by her desperate mother “the worst case they'd ever seen,” authorities said.
The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office recently responded to a Dollar General parking lot after a woman stopped in her vehicle to phone 911 because her infant daughter was unresponsive and not breathing, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.
The mother “pleaded with the [deputies] to help her, that her baby was turning blue,” states a report obtained by the Democrat.
According to the report, two deputies attempted to take life-saving measures, but the child “didn't have a pulse or signs of breathing.”
The infant was transported to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, where she was pronounced dead.
A detective determined the little girl had head-to-toe bruising, including to her bottom, chest and jawline and appeared she had been “beaten to death,” according to the sheriff’s office report.

The detective “spoke to the medical staff in the ER, who advised this was the worst case they'd ever seen and whomever was responsible should be put away,” the report stated.
The child’s mother told investigators her boyfriend, 23-year-old Jacob Robison, was watching the baby in the shed they lived behind a relative’s house while she was at work, court records show.
At one point, she claimed, Robison texted with her about having trouble trying to get the little girl and his 2-year-old son to sleep.
“Baby girl is fighting, but she's about out,” Robison texted, according to the report. “She also just fell off the bed. I had her on there cuddling so if she has another knot on her head (you know) why. She hit hard, so I'm sure there will be.”
When the mother returned home, she found the baby girl cold and limp.
Authorities arrested Robison for homicide, murder dangerous or depraved without premeditation, the sheriff’s office said.
He was booked without bond into the Wakulla County jail.
