Baby, Man Killed In Triple Shooting At North Carolina Apartment
A suspect is accused of killing his young son and a man he got into a fight with at an apartment in North Carolina, authorities said.
At around 11:30 on July 5, Natanael Ezequiel Baez, 22, was fighting with 27-year-old Robert Thomas and allegedly began shooting inside the third-floor Raleigh residence, WRAL reported.
A neighbor who asked to remain anonymous claimed to the station that her daughter was holding Baez’s 23-month-old son, Bubby, when the boy was fatally struck by a stray bullet.
According to 911 audio obtained by The News & Observer, the baby’s mother told a man who called for help what happened.
“This woman ... she’s saying her 1-year-old baby was shot in the head,” the caller said, noting, “I heard like, around 10 [gunshots], maybe seven.”
