Pennsylvania man allegedly squeezed 2-year-old girl to death
A Pennsylvania man who was watching a 2-year-old girl is accused of squeezing her to death, police said.
According to the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Department, around 3:45 a.m. on Dec. 30, 2021, authorities received a call about an unresponsive 2-year-old girl at a home in Stowe.
Officers with the Stowe County Police Department found Brielle Swinton not breathing and rushed the toddler to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
On Dec. 29, police believe 19-year-old Kyrell Morgan allegedly squeezed the girl’s midsection, which lacerated her liver, radio station KDKA reported, citing a criminal complaint.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the toddler’s death a homicide, and authorities arrested Morgan on Dec. 31 in connection to the death.
Morgan was booked into the Allegheny County Jail on charges of criminal homicide and endangering the welfare of children, police said.
