Son Told Police That He Assaulted His Mother During An Argument And Killed Her, Authorities Say

A man is accused of killing his 75-year-old mother and now faces a murder charge, police announced.
Around 3 p.m. on Dec. 7, police in Baltimore responded to a home on Gainsborough Court for a report of a death.
When officers arrived, they found Stewartess Burke, 75, dead from trauma to her upper body. Police did not provide additional details about the victim’s injuries.

The victim’s son, 52-year-old Kevin Burke, was at the home. He told officers he assaulted his mom during an argument and caused her death, police said. There was no word on what the argument was over.
Authorities took Kevin Burke to the station to be interviewed.
He is now charged with murder and has been booked into jail.
