Victim found shot in Baltimore died the next day. A month later, cops say they arrested a suspect.
Baltimore police initially thought they were responding to a stabbing call only to learn the victim was shot to death. Now, more than a month later, they have arrested the suspect killer.
On Dec. 30, Baltimore police responded to Dickey Hill Road for a reported stabbing.
At the scene, officers found Jordan Braxton, 23, suffering from “obvious signs of trauma,” according to Baltimore police. Officers quickly determined that Braxton had been shot and not stabbed.
He was taken to a hospital in critical condition until he died the next day, police said.
This month, police announced they arrested Dayqun Lawson, 23, in connection to the case. He was charged with first-degree murder and booked into jail.
Investigators have not released a possible motive for the murder.
