Teen accused of gunning down husband of Baltimore police lieutenant in broad daylight

An 18-year-old has been arrested and accused of murdering the husband of a Baltimore police lieutenant.

On Feb. 2, Baltimore police announced the arrest of Sahiou Kargbo. He was taken to jail and was charged with first-degree murder.

Around 2:40 p.m. on Jan. 25, James E. Blue III was shot multiple times outside a home in Baltimore, FrontPageDetectives previously reported. Blue was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Baltimore Sun reported that Blue was shot outside a home he had recently brought and was fixing up. Blue was on the phone with his son, who had just transferred to play football at Virginia Tech University, when he was shot.

Blue worked as a conductor for Amtrak for 20 years, the Sun reported.

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, Blue is survived by his wife and three children.

Police have not released a possible motive in the killing or why Kargbo was identified as a suspect. A police official told Fox Baltimore the murder is not believed to be tied to Blue’s wife’s job with the police.
