Victim Told Medics He Was Having Trouble Breathing. They Said It Was Because He Was Shot In The Chest.

A man told paramedics he was having difficulties breathing, they said it was because he was shot in the chest.
Now, officers say they have arrested the suspect gunman.
Around 12:50 a.m. on Aug. 15, police in Baltimore responded to a possible overdose on Park Avenue. When officers arrived, they found 35-year-old Eric Plater being treated by medics.
Plater told paramedics he was having difficulty breathing.
Medics told officers that Plater had been shot in the chest, police said. Plater was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Investigators identified 44-year-old Donte Simms as the suspect. On Aug. 30, he was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. His arrest was announced on Sept. 1.
No motive has been released in the case.
