Dispute turned deadly in Baltimore, repeated offender arrested: cops
Police say a dispute in Baltimore turned deadly and now a suspect has been arrested.
Around 10 p.m. on Feb. 11, Baltimore police were alerted a possible shooting in the western district. Officers arrived and found a man with a gunshot wound.
The victim — Ahnmad Artis, 54 — was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to Baltimore police.
Homicide investigators responded to the scene and took over the case.

Last week, police announced the arrest of Garrett Smith, 51, in connection to the shooting. Baltimore police said he is a repeat offender but did not detail his previous crimes. He was booked into jail and charged with first-degree murder.
Investigators said they believe the killing stemmed from a dispute.
