Two Men Under Arrest In Connection With Man Who Died After He Was Attacked Twice Within One Hour
Two Nevada men were arrested after they and a third suspect allegedly beat a man to death one hour after he first called police to report he was attacked, authorities said.
Around 10:20 p.m. on Sept. 23, police in Henderson said they and the fire department responded to North Boulder Highway after receiving the report of a battery.
At the scene, the 62-year-old victim, who has not been publicly identified, said three men he didn’t know beat him up. The victim sustained minor injuries, and police said they took a report and left.
Around 11:20 p.m. the same evening, officers responded to the same location after they received a report the same victim was again battered by three men, police said.
Officers found the bleeding victim lying on the ground outside the doors of a business, and he was rushed to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.
According to law enforcement officials, the suspects fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.
Henderson police said detectives later identified two of the three suspects as Stephon Epps, 32, and 69-year-old Floyd Epps. Both face open murder charges in connection with the incident.
The investigation is still active and ongoing, police said.
Anyone with information in this case is asked to call the Henderson Police Department at (702) 267-4911, or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
