Woman Arrested In Connection With 2020 Deadly Shooting At Kansas Bikini Bar
A woman was taken into custody in connection with a fatal shooting at a Gentleman’s Club in Kansas more than two years ago, authorities said.
On Sept. 26, police in Wichita, Kansas, charged Autumn Shanequa Metcalf, 31, with the first-degree murder of 33-year-old Joe Wheeler III, KAKE reported.
Metcalf is accused of shooting Wheeler in his vehicle, which was parked at the bikini bar Baby Dolls Club, around 9 p.m. on Aug. 24, 2020.
Wheeler was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy showed he had been shot twice in the head, according to The Wichita Eagle.
Authorities believe around 10 to 25 people were inside the bar when a disturbance broke out and then continued outside.
In addition to the murder count, Metcalf also faces charges of failure to appear, and multiple counts of failure to comply.
She was booked into the Sedgwick County jail, and her bond was set at $267,000.
