A Louisiana Woman Wouldn’t Let Her Boyfriend Borrow Her Car. So He Killed Her in Their Driveway.
A Louisiana man was convicted of killing his girlfriend because she refused to let him use her car.
A jury convicted Gregory Earl Jones, 40, on April 27 for the second-degree murder of Tasha Mayberry. He now faces life behind bars when he is sentenced on May 30, KSLA reported.
On Feb. 16, 2020, Mayberry wouldn’t let Jones use her car and the couple got into an argument in the driveway of their Shreveport home, according to the station.
During the dispute, Jones pulled out a 9mm gun and shot his girlfriend twice, striking her in the chest and leg.
Jones fled the scene and was shot by police after he pointed a gun at them when they located and attempted to apprehend him the following day.
