Police: 11-year-old boy killed in Georgia, 12-year-old boy charged with his murder

An 11-year-old boy was shot to death in Georgia and now police say a 12-year-old was taken into custody in connection to the murder.
Around 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 9, the Clayton County Police Department said a shooting occurred in Riverdale, Georgia.
Once at the scene, officers said they found two juveniles — the shooting victim, who was 11 years old, and a suspect, who is 12 years old. The 11-year-old died from his injuries at the scene, police said.
The names of both the suspect and the victim have not been released.
Officials said the 12-year-old was arrested and has been charged with murder, aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, possession of firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm under 18 and first-degree cruelty to children.
Newsweek reported the investigation is ongoing and no other information was released in time for this report. The shooting occurred about 13 miles south of Atlanta.
