Boyfriend accused of missing woman’s murder in North Carolina

A woman was reported missing and then found murdered in North Carolina. Now, her boyfriend has been arrested in connection to her death.
On Nov. 22, Denee Rawls, 21, left her residence on Robur Court in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Her family grew concerned for her safety when she did not return, and they reported her missing on Nov. 24. Police requested the public’s help finding Rawls, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
On Nov. 29, the investigation led detectives near the 7400 block of Harrisburg Road, where they found a dead woman, identified as Rawls, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
Homicide detectives quickly identified the victim’s boyfriend, Nicholas Davis, 22, as the suspect in the case, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Nov. 30, detectives found and arrested Davis. Following his interview with detectives, Davis was transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and charged with murder.
Police have not released a possible motive for the killing.
