Florida woman fatally hits boyfriend with car during road trip after argument over directions, police say

A Florida woman is accused of running over her boyfriend and killing him after the two got into an argument and he got out of the car to walk.

Johana Suarez and Henry Hernandez were traveling from Miami to California and had spend the evening of March 5 in Mississippi.

Early the following morning, the couple again began driving toward their destination but mistakenly headed the wrong way and went east on I-10 in Alabama, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office told WALA-TV.

Suarez and Hernandez got into an argument, and when they pulled over around 5 a.m., Hernandez gathered his belongings, got out of the car and began walking along the road.

Romantic troubles

The sheriff’s office said Suarez first pulled away but the turned her vehicle around and, driving in the wrong direction, allegedly slammed into Hernandez head on, killing him instantly.

Officers responding to a passing motorist’s 911 call found Suarez still at the scene, authorities said.

She was charged with murder and was being held without bail.
