Virginia Man Accused Of Killing His Brother, Two Dogs, Police Say
A Virginia man was arrested in connection with the slaying of his brother from North Carolina as well as two dogs, authorities said.
Lloyd A. Harris, 40, is accused of fatally shooting John Q. Harris, 43, at a residence in Roanoke on July 30, WDBJ reported.
John Harris was gunned down inside the home, and emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene
Officers also located a dog shot dead at the scene, and a second canine suffering gunshot wounds was rushed to a local veterinarian for emergency care but died.
Lloyd Harris was booked into the Roanoke City jail, and he currently faces a second-degree murder charge.
Police have not provided a possible motive for the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.
