Booze-Fueled Brawl Between Two Brothers In California Ends With Murder Charge, Police Say
Two brothers got into a brawl in a California street, and one is now under arrest for killing the other, authorities said.
Around 12:30 a.m. on July 27, police in Hanford responded to the report of two people fighting, KMPH-TV reported.
At the scene, officers discovered Steven Desoto, 29, lying in the street and suffering from “major injuries to his head and face,” according to police.
He was rushed to an area hospital, where he died, and detectives later placed his younger brother, 23-year-old Elias Desoto, under arrest in connection to the incident.
The suspect allegedly told detectives that he and his sibling were drinking before the fight and a dispute escalated to physical violence, police said.
Elias Desoto was being held on homicide charges at the Kings County jail, according to KMPH-TV.
