Ex-President Of USA Softball Accused Of Lewd Acts With A Minor, Cops Say

The former president of USA softball is accused of multiple counts of lewd acts with a minor.
Though, authorities said the victim was not associated with the softball group.
This week, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office in California announced the arrest of 61-year-old John Gouveia. He was charged with eight counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14-years-old.
Police did not release details about the alleged incidents that led to his arrest.
Gouveia worked for the national governing council for girls’ softball for 20 years. He also served as commissioner of USA Softball of Northern California, president of USA softball and worked with the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District Softball.
Police said the victim was not associated with the park district or USA softball.
Gouveia was released on $250,000 bond after his arrest.
