A 9-Month-Old Infant Was Shot And Killed As His Mom Pushed Him In A Stroller, Police Say

An infant was shot and killed while being pushed in a stroller by his mom, and now police say they have arrested two suspects.
On Nov. 17, police in Merced, California, said they located a suspect, 18-year-old Daevon Jamari Motshwane, hiding out in a motel. When he left, he was quickly taken into custody.
A 17-year-old unnamed boy was also arrested in connection to the case. Both were charged with murder. Motshwane was also charged with assault with a deadly weapon and gang charges.
On Nov. 9, 9-month-old Darius Grigsby was shot and killed as his mother pushed him in a stroller while walking in Merced, police said.
A Chevrolet Trailblazer was captured on surveillance cameras and fled the scene. Police identified the owner, which led to the two suspects. Authorities added the unnamed teen is suspected of driving the vehicle.
Investigators have not said why the suspects opened fire or if the woman and the child were the intended targets.
