Sheriff's Deputy In California Accused Of Killing Two People, Arrested After Brief Manhunt

A sheriff’s deputy in California is accused of double murder and now behind bars.
Around 12:45 a.m. on Sept. 7, police in Dublin, California, responded to Colebrook Lane after a person reported two people were shot in the home.
Officers went to the home and found a man and woman inside the residence, according to police. They both had gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The names of the victim have not been released.
Witnesses identified 24-year-old Devin Williams Jr. as the suspect. He worked as a deputy with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities asked for the public’s help finding Williams Jr., and he was arrested hours later.
No motive has been released in the killing.
