A man has been arrested after he allegedly lured young girls via social media to an isolated location and sexually assaulted them.
On Aug. 15, Riverside, California, police responded to a hospital to speak to a teenage girl about a sexual assault.
Officers learned a man, later identified as Osvaldo Miguel Manuel Sebastian, met girls online through social media and arranged to meet them in person, according to Riverside police.
Officers said Sebastian, 24, would then take the victim to an isolated location and commit sexual assaults.
Sebastian also allegedly used a young woman to help him meet these victims, police say.
Police believe a red Toyota Camry and a white Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck have been used while committing these violent crimes.
Sebastian has already been accused in another incident that allegedly took place on Aug. 17, 2020, The Press-Enterprise reported.
Prosecutors charged him with unlawful intercourse with a minor in a currently active criminal case filed in Riverside County Superior Court last December, according to The Press Enterprise.
Later on Aug. 15, detectives arrested Sebastian on charges of attempted murder and sexual assault by force. He is being held in the Robert Presley Detention Center, and his bail has been set at $1 million.
Investigators believe there may be additional teens victimized by Sebastian, yet have not come forward. If anyone has additional information regarding this investigation and arrest, they are urged to contact Detective Melissa Brazil at (951) 353-7950 or MBrazil@RiversideCA.gov.
