Fight Erupts At Cinco De Mayo Festival, Innocent Bystander Shot And Killed
A teen has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting at a California Cinco de Mayo festival, according to police.
Around 10 p.m. on May 1, police in Anaheim, California, responded to a report of gunshots in La Palma Park. The site was the location of the annual Anaheim Cinco de Mayo Festival.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound, according to Anaheim police.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to Anaheim police.
Police at the scene detained a group of juveniles and found a handgun.
Investigators said a fight erupted involving the group of juveniles. During the fight, a 17-year-old man fired the gun. At least one shot hit the victim, who was an innocent bystander, police said.
The juvenile has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
