Man Allegedly Shot His Parents To Death, Then Called 911 And Stuck Around
A man is accused of killing his parents in California, though police have not said what led to the killings.
Around 3:30 p.m. on April 10, police in Fresno, California, responded to a home for a report of shots fired. A man called 911 and said he had just shot his parents, Fresno police said.
Officers arrived and found 22-year-old Julian McElhaney sitting in the front yard.
Inside the home, police found two people dead. The victims were identified as William McElhaney, 55, and Sylvia McElhaney, 64.
"The suspect was cooperative," Fresno police Chief Paco Balderrama said, according to ABC30. "He's the one who called 911, stated that he shot his family and he did give up when officers arrived."
Police arrested Julian McElhaney and charged him with two counts of murder. Investigators have not said what allegedly caused the suspect to kill his parents.
