'Armed And Dangerous' Murder Suspect Caught After Deadly Shooting, California Cops Say
A 42-year-old man faces a murder charge in connection to a deadly shooting in California, police said.
On April 6, deputies with the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in Creston, California.
When deputies arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound, according to the sheriff’s office. The victim’s name has not been released.
Medical aid was given, but the victim died from his injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. Detectives started an investigation and named 42-year-old Cruz Gomez Jr. as a suspect. Police asked for the public’s help in finding him and called him “armed and dangerous.”
Hours later, police announced they arrested Gomez. He was charged with murder.
Investigators have not released a possible motive in the case.
