21-Year-Old Accused Of Gunning Down 19-Year-Old In California
A 21-year-old man shot and killed a 19-year-old and left him in the road, according to police.
Shortly after midnight on April 23, police in Visalia, California, responded to a shots fired call. When officers arrived, they found a man in the road with gunshot wounds.
The victim was later identified as Michael Montoya, 19, according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police identified Giovanni Castaneda, 21, as a suspect and he was arrested this week.
Investigators have not said why they believe he is the shooter or the possible motive for the killing.
Castaneda was charged with suspicion of homicide. Police say they continue to investigate the case.
